The last Miró

Some works of Miró, in particular thirty works of his last period between 1963 and 1983, can now be seen in the Valentine gallery of the Burgos cathedral (Burgos, Spain) until January. An exhibition under titled "last Miró (1963-1983): The experience of watching" provides the opportunity to see a Miró not as well known but fascinating with “new American avant-gardes influences and intimate subtle connections and dialogues that there always existed between his painting and sculpture” explains Antonio Miguel Mendez Pozo, president of the Silos Foundation that organized the exhibition together with Reina Sofia museum.

During 2014 an extended version of the exhibition will travel to different places in United States: Seattle Art Museum (February 13-May 25, 2014), Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University (September 11 - February 22, 2015) and Denver Art Museum (March 22 to June 28, 2015).

Algunas obras de Miró, concretamente treinta obras de su último período entre 1963 y 1983, pueden verse ahora en la sala Valentín de la catedral de Burgos (Burgos-España) hasta el 8 de Enero. Una exposición que bajo el título “Miró último (1963-1983): La experiencia de mirar” nos ofrece la posibilidad de contemplar un Miró no tan conocido y fascinante con “influencias de las nuevas vanguardias americanas y las íntimas y sutiles conexiones y diálogos que siempre existieron entre su pintura y escultura” aclara Antonio Miguel Méndez Pozo, presidente de la Fundación Silos que organiza la exposición junto con el Museo Reina Sofía.

Durante 2014 una versión ampliada de esta exposición viajará por diferentes lugares de Estados Unidos: Seattle Art Museum, (13 febrero – 25 mayo 2014); Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University (11 de septiembre – 22 febrero de 2015) y Denver Art Museum (22 marzo- 28 junio 2015).
