Chvrches is the new musical experiment straight from Glasgow. Emotional, pop and electronic, their debut LP “The Bones of What You Believe” is proving to be a media phenomenon in Scotland where we could check out a month ago in our recent visit to Edinburgh. Apart from that, they are hot news for another reasons. Last week, Lauren Mayberry, her vocalist, stirred controversy about a post on facebook in which try to persuade their followers to stop some sexist and misogynistic comments for being women. Welcome initiative, considering that, especially in the outer years, we have experienced a excessive transformation of women as object for commercial gain. Emotivo , pop y electrónico, su álbum debut (debut LP) "The Bones of What You Believe" está resultando ser un fenómeno mediático en Escocia donde pudimos comprobarlo hace un mes en nuestra reciente visita a Edinburgo. Pero además son noticia por otra razón. La semana pasada Lauren Mayberry, su vocalista, levantó mucha polémica a raíz de un post en Facebook en el que trataba de persuadir a sus seguidores para que dejasen de hacer comentarios sexistas y misóginos por su condición de mujer. Iniciativa muy plausible teniendo en cuenta que especialmente en los últimos años hemos vivido una exagerada conversión de la mujer en objeto con fines comerciales. Pero que a fin de cuentas, esto no será más que un acicate para que esta banda suene y mucho, este Otoño.
