BEYOND THE HILLS: Eastern "cinéma verité"

     Slowly. Sometimes even, repetitive, but more real than real life. We are in a movie, not just another movie, of Eastern Europe. A cinematographic brand that is reaping the best contemporary feature.

      Raw, rough and overwhelming. The critically acclaimed "Beyond the hills" go beyond what political correctness in cinematic terms. Visually attractive, beautiful and cold film written and directed by romanian Cristian Mungiu. This is a film without drama despite the sorrowful  argument and the emotional complexity that weave a characters appropriately performed.

      Based on the novels about a true story of Tatiana Niculescu Bran, the movie, without being moralistic, speaks of the religion and the fine line between good and evil.

      After officially opening the International Film Festival of Gijón, also  taking away the special jury prize, "Beyond the Hills", the movie’s release will take place in Spain on 25 December.

      Lentamente. A veces, incluso repetitiva, pero más real que una vida real. Estamos ante una película, no una película más, de Europa del Este. Un sello cinematográfico que está cosechando las mejores películas contemporáneas.

      Cruda, áspera y abrumadora. La aclamada por la crítica “Más allá de las colinas” va más allá de lo políticamente correcto en términos cinematográficos. Visualmente atractiva, la película escrita y dirigida por el rumano Cristian Mungiu es hermosa y fría, sin dramatismo a pesar del doliente argumento y la complejidad emocional que tejen unos personajes perfectamente caracterizados.

      Escrita a partir de las novelas - basadas en una historia real - de Tatiana Niculescu Bran, la película, sin ser moralista, nos habla de la fe y de la delgada línea que separa el bien del mal.

      Después de haber inaugurado recientemente el festival internacional de cine de Gijón, llevándose además el premio especial del jurado, “Beyond the hills” se estrena el 25 de Diciembre en España.
